I think the word I hear most is "overwhelmed." I get it - I feel it myself. When you're facing down some task, any task, sometimes it feels as complicated, difficult - even impossible - as getting yourself to the moon.
Everybody has different reasons why they feel overwhelmed - for me, it's because I can be a bit of a perfectionist. I know, big shock! I feel sometimes like I have to do the thing perfectly or not at all.
You may have noticed that I haven't published a blog post for a while. I wanted to make some updates to the look of my website, change out the photos, come up with a new format for my newsletter...and it seemed like I needed to do all of that before making one more mediocre blog post. Be honest now - do you really care about what my blog posts look like?
Good enough is good enough, right?
I managed to get out of my own way and publish this post (which I think is pretty good). Sometimes, getting the thing done is more important than doing it perfectly. Maybe you're waiting to organize your closet until you can afford to remodel it and make it Instagram-perfect. But what if it worked for you right now? What if you could enjoy a clear, bright, organized closet right now? And then when you do remodel you're ahead of the game.
Think about a project you're putting off until you can do it perfectly - and think about whether it might be worth doing now.
